Announcing Fadi Abi Allam as President of NP's branch in Lebanon

We are excited and honoured to announce the appointment of Fadi Abi Allam as President of NP’s branch in Lebanon. Prior to this appointment, Fadi has been a long time advisor to NP, drawing upon his 20 years of peacebuildng experience to support NP and the field of UCP.

 

Fadi dedicates his life to the pursuit of peace. He has been a long time advisor to NP, is a founding member of the Permanent Peace Movement of Lebanon, serves as the Coordinator of the Middle East and North Africa Partnership for Prevention of Armed Conflict (MENAPPAC) which is acting as the MENA initiator for the Global Partnership for Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC). He is additionally the Regional Focal point for the MENA Network on the Involvement of children in armed conflict and the coordinator of the Non-Violence Network in the Arab Countries. Moreover, Fadi is a member of the steering committee of the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect, the International Action Network for Small Arms (IANSA), and of Control Arms. Fadi is currently the consultant of the Prime Minister on matters of Human Security, and previously occupied the position of consultant for the Minister of Displaced in Lebanon from October 2009 until June 2011, in which he was the facilitator of the trust building and the reconciliation processes, and wasresponsible of designing a comprehensive reintegration and development initiative for the displaced people especially in the Mount Lebanon Area, in addition to the coordination task between the ministry and the international organization.
