Leys School Ikita Bradford 12 14

Philip Ikita, former NP Peacekeeper in Sri Lanka, has just returned to his home in Nigeria following his studies at the University of Bradford. He was awarded a Rotary Peace Fellowship in 2013.

 (Published Jan. 26, 2015)

The 15-month long residency included a 3-month Acquired Field Experience at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in Sussex from May to August, 2014. As Rotary Peace Fellow, he also did numerous trips across the UK to speak and interact in conferences and events (usually organized by, or associated with Rotary Clubs) under the themes of governance, participation and peace. He is especially interested in the issue of corruption and how civilians are responding to it. He received his Master of Arts in Peace, Conflict and Development.

About 100 Rotary Peace Fellowships are awarded every year to peace practitioners around the world to study at Rotary Peace Centers in Australia, Thailand, Sweden, US, UK, and Japan.
